Safer Internet Week
This morning our Digital Leaders did an assembly all about e-safety – keeping safe online – as part of Safer Internet Week.
They talked about the importance of making sure your parents and other responsible adults are aware of the ways you use new technologies which can access the internet, such as netbooks, iPods and PSPs.
They also talked about a really useful website called Kidsmart. This website gives you loads of really useful hints and tips about how to stay safe when you use a variety of new technologies. The website can be found here. Do check it out; it’s fab!
We want you to keep using exciting new technologies, but we want to make sure you are using them safely.
The presentation from the assembly can be found here:
Exciting afternoon!
Year 2 are holding a fundraising event at New Cross Site. Tomorrow at 1.30pm you will see able to see the children’s Great Fire of London performance, read their work, enjoy their art and speak to them about what they have been learning.
We will be selling cakes made by the children and tea and coffee to raise money for the Fire Brigade Charities.
The Fire Brigade have helped us in our learning this topic and we’d like to say thank you in this way.
The children are very excited and we’d love to see you all there.
Mrs Ranson
